What ParcelCard is

ParcelCard is a property research tool that looks up publicly available county tax and GIS records for parcels across North Carolina. It does not require an account, a login, or any personal information to use.

What we collect

We collect as little as possible, on purpose:

What you search for

When you look up an address, that search is sent to our server to find matching property records — this is simply how the tool works, the same way any search box needs to know what you typed in order to return results. Searches aren't tied to your name or identity, and we don't build profiles of what any individual person has searched.

Where the property data comes from

All property information shown comes from public county tax assessor and GIS records, and in some cases live lookups against public government data sources (such as FEMA's flood maps). This is the same information publicly available directly from each county — ParcelCard organizes and presents it, but does not create or verify it independently. See our Terms & Conditions for more on data accuracy.

Third parties

To answer certain live questions (like current flood zone status), ParcelCard's server makes requests to public government data sources on your behalf. We don't share your search activity with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party.
